To be honest, there really is no solid (and especially no research published in any respectable journal) attesting to the dangers of Methylisothiazolinone. Even the research claiming it's neurotoxicity to in-vitro neurons. But these conditions also do not accurately simulate the real-life use of the ingredient in consumer products. It's especially less worrisome in a hair product that will be rinsed off. Many face washes and lotions (including Neutrogena) uses this ingredient in their products as well.

DR. And a 16 (or 18 can't remember which it is atm) oz. bottle will last me over a month and that's using 15 pumps at a time (I have a chin length bob, when my hair was longer I used more). Wen is awesome for people who color their hair because it doesn't wash all the color out like shampoo does. I use semi-permanent color and it lasts for waaay longer now thanks to me switching to Wen. It's a wonderful product, give it a shot with out the shampoo, I'll bet that you'll like it even more, since your hair won't be stripped of all of it's natural oils it will feel like day #2 on the first day. Just be sure to follow the directions and rise *throughly*, I ended up with oily looking hair after my first few uses because I didn't follow that part.
